Hopefully Zduriencik has got him on his fantasy team.

To earn $11 with a mere 5 wins and 66 IP... even if he doesn't pitch again this year, he'll be a Type-A free agent in next year's auctions.

Or at least B+.

Another trip to the DL, and the worst thing that could happen if you're the Mariners: Whatever trade value he built back up plummets again sinceĀ it's clear he can't relied upon to stay healthy, and there's now almost no-chance he finishes the year as a Type-A free agent.

So far, so good. Striking guys out. Walking nearly nobody. Low pitch counts deep into games.

If he's healthy the biggest risk is being dealt to the NL.

If he replicates 2006, can we call that a success?

I got him for $17 5x5. He fits in with Shields $29, Kazmir $18 keeper, Litsch $4 keeper, and Niemann $1. 23% pitching inflation. I had to gamble with my #3 starter. Without knowing what it is as a term, my entire league was talking about Stage 3 concept last night when we were done. It's all about packaging stats into strategies and taking gambles. There's no price bargains except with cheapies that are almost all luck.

Just $13 in mine. Many frightened faces.

Went for $19 in my league yesterday. I had him a few ticks higher with inflation. That could be a very good price.

My bad. I should have said they found no structural problem in his arm. A cyst was removed. I read elsewhere that he didn't sign a HIPPA waiver right away and the Mariners couldn't talk about his surgery. Seems he was not the most cooperative guy last year.
