In the second Eloy struck out looking against Maeda. In the fourth he struck out swinging against Maeda. In the sixth he struck out swinging against Wisler. But in the eighth, on the first pitch he saw from Romo, he doubled to left to drive in the go-ahead run, a run that stood up, clinching a spot in the postseason with eight more games to play.

They opened a three-game lead over the Twins in the division, which means... not much.

Still a little too soon to say for sure, but my comment on Feb 25 looks like a mistake.

Co-sign SJS's comment.  I have Eloy at $21 and Vlad at $19.  I can see paying a little more based upon early season guaranteed role this far before the season, but these are considerable overpays, especially with some guys getting paid peanuts - like Teoscar Hernandez.  If I recall he was $3.

I'd say both are mistakes. I like their potential, but there's not much room for profit at those prices. The CBS guys are famous for overbidding the young players.

$28 in CBS, $2 more than Vladdy.

A mistake.

I can't say I love his swing.

What you can't help but love is the HR/FB%.
