Newsmakers from Sunday's action:

Eloy Jimenez, OF, White Sox: Another day, another big day for the White Sox's top prospect. Jimenez is one of the best pure hitting prospects in the minors, with power to go with his feel to hit. Jimenez was 3-for-5 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Video of the triple hasn't been posted by los Gigantes yet, but they have posted video of Jimenez's home run from Saturday.

He's looking like the #1 supplemental draft player in my league next year.  He hit a HR and a double in his AA debut tonight.  Incidentally, Zack Collins also hit a HR in his debut.

Here are the 1/1 picks in my league since we instituted a minor league draft with minor league protection rules.  You can see that a few teams have frequently gotten the #1 pick.  Scotty Doesn't Know is in 5th again as of tonight's standings.  I put together this list to ask him if he was going to get the 1st pick again for the 5th out of 6 years.  He did come in 4th in 2014, so he didn't have the #1 pick in 2015.

2005 Delmon Young GOB
2006 Jered Weaver Bombers
2007 Phil Hughes Shockers
2008 Brandon Wood Yetti
2009 Derek Holland Shockers
2010 Desmond Jennings Packers
2011 Mike Trout GOB
2012 Jarrod Parker Packers
2013 Mike Zunino Scotty
2014 Francisco Lindor Scotty
2015 Yoan Moncada GOB
2016 AJ Reed Scotty
2017 Gleyber Torres Scotty

Eloy Jimenez, lf, White Sox. Jose Quintana has delivered two quality starts for the Cubs, but the White Sox don’t regret that deal. Jimenez, the main prize in the four-player package from the Cubs, had a career-high five hits Sunday as high Class A Myrtle Beach beat Salem (Red Sox) 11-10. Jimenez homered, doubled twice and singled twice. In nine games in the White Sox organization, Jimenez, 20, is 14-for-31 with seven extra-base hits and 10 RBIs.

I'm not forgetting at all.  He's probably going to be #2-4 possibly after Bo Bichette and/or Royce Lewis.  But, Robert is in Rookie Ball hitting 255/479/392 compared to Royce 340/426/566.  It's not like Royce has a poor pedigree going 1-1.  And, Eloy who did what he did above in low-A, followed by 271/351/490 in high-A this year.

Then, there's Bo, who hit 427/451/732 in Rookie ball last year, and 384/448/623 in low-A before his recent callup to High-A.  The Blue Jays High-A infield is now Bo Bichette, Vlad Jr. and Cavan Biggio.

Jimenez will be at AA at 21, while Robert will be at short season or low-A, a year younger.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Lewis jump to high-A, even though the Twins are notoriously slow at developing players.

You're forgetting Luis Robert, who many scouts called one of the best prospects they've seen.
