He's the classic limited-upside $2 player.  Hard to see how he could earn much over last year; easy to see how he'd be replaced with a better player.  Already 29.  This is a late round $2 guy, who can be shoved to 3rd or 2nd on your roster.

Signed a one-year deal with the Twins for $1.3 million. A slight raise as his employer looks for more of the same.

Started the season on the DL with an oblique strain, and did another DL stretch at midseason because of an abdominal strain. In between and afterwards he served as a utilityman, playing everywhere but catcher. He has a good defensive reputation, and is a career .236 hitter, with five homers and 12 steals in 517 plate appearances.
