Rotoworld:
08.04: Royals transferred OF Edward Olivares from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list. (Olivares might be done for the season after suffering a severe left quad strain in late July.)

Rotoworld:
07.14: Edward Olivares went 3-for-3 with a walk from the leadoff spot Thursday against the Blue Jays. (That's
the good news. The bad news is that he was thrown out on the basepaths
each of the first three times he reaches and was removed for a
pinch-runner in the eighth. Olivares is usually a fair enough
baserunner, but he was picked off first, caught stealing and thrown out
trying to stretch a single into a double tonight. It didn't cost the
Royals a win, but it doesn't bode well for his chances of sticking in
the leadoff spot once the Royals get their rest of the lineup back.)

0-for-5 with four whiffs. Such is life.
Jun 26
He's batting clean-up today. Yes, the Royals actually shifted their lineup.
Jun 25
Don't get snarky, Rotoworld. Just be glad he's in the lineup.
06.25: Making his return from the IL, Edward Olivares hit two solo homers off Cole Irvin to power the Royals to a 3-1 win over the A's on Friday. (Seems
like grounds for a demotion. The homers were Oliveras's first in 41
plate appearances this year, though he's hitting an impressive
.394/.439/.658. Hopefully, the Royals are finally ready to commit to him
in right field for a spell. Maybe they'll even think about trying him
higher than eighth in the lineup.)

Rotoworld:
06.11: Edward Olivares (quad) went 0-for-3 with a strikeout on Friday in his minor league rehab assignment debut for Triple-A Omaha. (Olivares
has been out since early May due to a right quad strain. He was off to a
phenomenal start this season prior to the injury, slashing
.371/.421/.486 with five runs scored, three RBI and two steals across 38
plate appearances. He's going to need some time to get back up to
speed, but should return to Kansas City at some point later this month.)
Jun 11
He's jinxed.
05.10: Edward Olivares (quad) is expected to miss at least six weeks. (Olivares was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a right quad strain
and will likely be sidelined until at least late June. It's a tough blow
for the 26-year-old outfielder, who was off to a tremendous start at
the dish this season, hitting .371/.421/.486 with five runs scored,
three RBI and two steals across 38 plate appearances.)
May 11
I have a feeling I'm going to overpay for him again. (I traded for him last year.)
Both Olivares and Kyle Isbel broke camp with the big club as reserve outfielders. Andrew Benintendi, Michael Taylor and Whit Merrifield compose the Kansas City outfield from left to right and should have a fair amount of security in those roles against both left- and right-handed pitching, so Olivares and Isbel could struggle to find consistent playing time. Olivares has a minor-league option remaining and will be a prime candidate for a demotion if the Royals need to bring in another player at a different position group at some point.
