Pitched well tonight against the Red Sox. Has a completely different soma from when he first came up. It happens.

Our league's substantial contingent of Oriole fans will bid him past my comfort zone.

Bundy had too many outings where he came out in the early innings trying to establish his fastball. He'd be throwing 91, right over the plate.

When those pitches get hit over the fence, it isn't bad HR/FB luck, it's bad pitching. By the time he ramped up the velocity and mixed in his other pitches, the damage had been done.

He's still a promising pitcher. But after last year, there isn't any reason to pay more than $3-4 for Bundy.

Two out of three ain't bad -- in fact, it's shockingly good for Dylan Bundy. The picks and pans in the new Guide, just starting to hit newsstands:

ROTOROB PAN: He’s definitely better than
what he showed last year, but after serving
up an MLB-leading 2.15 dingers per nine, he
deserves a big yuck. Is Bundy yet another
promising arm that won’t deliver until he
leaves the purgatory that is the O’s system?

ADLER PICK: BABIP and an absurd HR to fly ball rate scuttled his ERA. Not an ace
candidate, but should be able to contribute a
sub-4.00 ERA with plenty of strikeouts. He’ll
be cheap; worth a deep-league speculation.

PODHORZER PICK: Posted the best
strikeout, walk, and swinging strike rates
of his career, but poor batted ball luck and
a sudden affliction of gopheritis ruined his
results. That slider is truly elite, and should
fuel a much improved performance in 2019.
