Still incredibly contact limited ... but managed to sustain an insane BABIP for an entire year. Sometimes that happens ...

The wisest/luckiest purchase ($4) for my Patton and Co entry in the CBS analysts league ... in part for the $18 return so far on investment ... in part because I decided I had to protect that investment by bidding $2 when Charles Blackmon came out - reaping a net $52 return on my combined $6 purchase prices.

When you spend a combined $94 on 3 guys who, largely thanks to injury, net $35 on the season (Tulo, Cliff Lee, Harper), you need to make it up somewhere. This is where most of that makeup came from ...

HR #6 today off Gonzales of the Cards.

Boy, the Rockies have hit the jackpot with Blackmon, Dickerson and Stubbs in that OF while CarGo battles injuries. Even Barnes has been a solid player....geez.

I think Dickerson or Barnes is getting sent down, Stubbs to wrong side of the platoon with Blackmon.

With Cuddyer's return, I'm guessing it's coming to an end one way or another unless Cargo does him a solid and tweaks a hammy.

Putting up a .413/.440/.717 slash line over the past 15 games with 3 long flies and 4 SB's. He can be streaky, so enjoy this streak while it lasts!

Yes, they seem to be riding the hotter hand in Barnes. I don't like it. I prefer Stubbs to him for fantasy but Stubbs needs to play to take advantage of his hacking speed-power (as in HRs, not SLG obviously) combination.

Now relegated to 5th or 6th OF status, behind Cargo, Cuddyer, Blackmon, Dickerson and Barnes. Not getting the start today even with Cuddyer on the DL and Cargo sitting.

Hitting .333/.415/.389 in 36 Cactus League AB.

Yes, more walks (5) than XBH (2 doubles). 12 whiffs, 1 SB, 0 CS.

OppQual 8.7, which Baseball-Reference tells us is a little closer to Triple-A than MLB quality.

But if he's the everyday center fielder in Colorado, the bids have to come up for sure.
