Talk is Swish at first. Guessing Reynolds gets lion share of DH, with Chisenhall/Aviles working at 3B and some mix and match at DH, with McGuinness picking up at bats too if he sticks.

The signing of Bourn is leading to the rumors that the Tribe will now shop Stubbs.

I am not so sure...an OF of Brantley, Bourn and Stubbs is a pretty impressive defensive crew.

Isn't it possible they have Swish and Reynolds split the DH/1B duties?

That would make sense, no?

Us Reds fans were. Conversely we were 37-45 when Stubbs played and failed to score a run.

42-20 when Cozart scored a run and 40-36 when he played and failed to score a run.

52-11 when BP scored a run and 37-47 when he played and failed to score a run.

On another note- one of the reasons out record was so good when Stubbs scored was because 19(17-2) of those 54 were against the 4 worst teams(Hou Chi, Col, and Mia).

I wondered if something relatively similar occurs for leadoff hitters, or if there is a trend relative to batting order there...

Conversely, I wonder what their record was when, say, Brandon Phillips scored a run. Or Zach Cozart, even.

When the Reds traded Stubbs to the Indians, were they aware of this factoid (from Athlon's Baseball Preview)?

Record in games where Stubbs scored a run: 47-7.

They probably were. I mean, where do you suppose Athlon gets this stuff? Every front office has a numbers nut now.
