Thread: Doubt Wars

Very low maintenance! We trash talk here.

Welcome! You are invited to wander around and read all of the comments that have been posted here at Patton & Co., but as soon as you register you can see the bid limits that Alex, Peter and Mike propose for each player, and you can post your own comments. Registering is free, so please join us!

When you follow that ToutWars.com link, you'll see a Doubt Wars 2019 link in the top nav, which explains the whole thing. If you have any questions ask them here. I try to stay on top.

LynchMob is right about the amount of time, shadow drafting should be immediate, but the fact is that none of the civilians beat the Touts last year. It's hard to do that given the +$1. And it's hard for me to get the whole thing set up and make sure people have enough time to make their teams.

So here we are.

No info/details yet ('cept for Peter's comment here) ... but, in general, Doubt Wars info will be linked from http://www.toutwars.com/ ... Let's Roll!

PS.  I'll file my usual complaint ... having a Doubt Wars deadline 10 days after the Tout Wars auction is ... too long.  Gio and Kimbrel will sign, which will change conditions a lot, for example.

And ... even given that ... DW is my *favorite*! :-)

Before the first game on the 27th. Everybody gets the Japan games as freebies.

When's the Doubt Wars entry deadline? :-)

There will be a live chat with Todd Zola and live spreadsheet, if you're interested in how 12 team mixed H2H rolls.

The H2H auction will start at 6pm on Friday, but the broadcast will be delayed until 7pm on Sunday. Friday night Sirius carries an NFBC Main Event draft.

From Peter,

Our big event, Tout Weekend, is coming up on March 15-17 in New York City. This year's schedule goes like this:

March 15: Tout Wars Head to Head, at SiriusXM. 1221 Ave of the Americas, New York, NY 10020 Time isn't set yet, but probably 5 or 6 pm.

March
15: Official Foley's Party. 8PM. 18 West 33rd Street. (Alas, Saturday
is St. Patricks celebration again, and so we had to move to Friday.)

March 16: Tout Wars AL. 9AM. Stewart Hotel. 371 7th Ave. NYC (at 31st Street). (Doors open at 8AM for light breakfast/coffee)

March
16: Tout Wars Mixed Auction. 3PM. Stewart Hotel. 371 7th Ave. NYC (at
31st Street). (Doors open at 2PM for sandwiches breakfast/coffee)

March 16: Foley's will be open, but likely a madhouse.

March 17: Tout Wars NL. 10AM. SiriusXM. 1221 Ave of the Americas, New York, NY 10020 (Doors open at 9AM for light breakfast/coffee)

March
17: Virgil's lunch. 3PM This has been an informal gathering in recent
years, at the prompting of Lawr Michaels, who loved Virgil's wings an
awful lot. If you're around you're invited to join in.

I know that Tout is this weekend, but what is the actual schedule for the different auctions and drafts?  Sorry if it is on the Tout site, but I couldn't find it.
