Given the somewhat obvious ---the two teams with the best rotations are in the WS---you'd think there would have been more mention of the fact the Yankees played the ALCS without their best starter, who allowed 3 runs or fewer in 18 of his 24 starts. Don't let the 4.03 deceive you---German was frequently dominant in 2019.

Well, if that's what happened . . . yeah, he's done for the year.

Allegedly slapped his girlfriend in a public setting, witnessed by someone in the Commissioner's office (Joe Torre?). I suspect we won't see him again this year.

Ken Davidson in the Post:
"The closer we get to these playoffs, the more it appears the Yankees’ best path to overcoming the Astros, a club relying on a powerful starting rotation, will be a strain of bullpenning. They’ll launch a test run of sorts on Wednesday when they start CC Sabathia and relieve him with German, whose past 22 appearances have been starts."

Top ten wins, both leagues, on the Fourth of July:
Jul 4
The AP4 bid gets him in just about any league.
Why didn't I get him?

Consistently good. Talk about your $1 endgame successes.

I currently have him at $1 in the software. If he gets the fifth starter spot over Loaisiga and does a good job he's worth a shot at the end, but he's far from a sure bet.

The only reason you're not seeing them is we were expecting him to start the season in Triple-A.. I have him at $2 in tomorrow's update with "temp 5?" in Quick Memo.
Clearly too timid. But I don't think I'll go above $5 when it's official that he's the fifth starter, because it's bound to be temp.

18/2 K/BB in 12 spring innings. Worth a bid, no?
