I think you have to put Carmago in that mix of guys who have to prove they belong.  The big step for Philly would be putting Stott on the 40 man - if that's done, and at the end of the month Bohm and Stott are both performing well, I doubt that Philly would be anxious to burn one of their options - which puts Carmago in the spotlight.

I don't think anyone will care that Carmago gets sent down and burns his last option  - so he's going to need to prove that he is a plus for the ML roster over either of the youngsters.

Either Bohm or Stott likely will be sent down when rosters go back to 26.

Does Didi lose more at bats than Bohm with Stott making the squad?

The post below this one looks at all the ways he struggled.

Didi Gregorius (SS) PHI - Mar. 13

Manager Joe Girardi said Sunday that Gregorius will compete with Bryson Stott for the starting job at shortstop during spring training, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Gregorius struggled last season with a .209/.270/.370 slash line, 13 homers and 54 RB in 103 games, but he remains under contract at $14.5 million for 2022 and is the favorite to start. Stott played 10 games at Triple-A in 2021 but spent most of the year at Double-A Reading, where he had a .849 OPS in 80 contests. However, Stott isn't yet on the 40-man roster, which figures to be a big hurdle for his chances of winning the job. Gregorius posted a .783 OPS over the previous five seasons before his struggles last year, so he'll likely be Philadelphia's Opening Day starter at shortstop with hopes of a rebound campaign.

Statcast xBA: .220

Statcast xSA: .320

Why such a low xSA?

He hit the ball harder, on average, last year. He had a slightly higher launch angle. Barrel% was bad both years.

He hit .198 Post All-Star and .157 against lefties. In 107 AB with runners in scoring position he hit .159. He had a negative dWAR.
