Claimed him just in time for yesterday's start. May not own him by the time he starts again on Sunday.

So the Orioles analysis on Akin agreed with mine.  Kremer made the rotation, for whatever it's worth, and the O's grabbed a bunch of journeymen to pitch ahead of Akin.

Gave up an opposite field 2-run homer to Hunter Renfroe in an otherwise effective start against Boston tonight.  No wind.  Topped out at 94, but threw more off-speed than heaters.

I'm glad it is BA and not a wider audience seeing this.  I want him for $1 in my leagues.  In my local league, he probably will be too rich for my blood, though.

Today from BA...

Baltimore Orioles

—No. 9 prospect Dean Kremer pitched three scoreless innings against the Twins, striking out three and walking one after allowing three runs in 1.2 innings in his first spring performance. The 25-year-old righthander will assume a role in the Orioles’ Opening Day rotation after starting four times in 2020.

I wouldn't use any of our dollars to buy Akin. His walk rate in the minors was way too high. I think he's going to have a lot of trouble in the majors. Kremer is more crafty and has always had good control.

You like him better than Akin, Eugene?
