Hard to rip guys when you have no idea where the ball's gonna be, as Mike G points out. Sell high here, right?

Your reasoning was more than sound, though; the Yankees probably would have ripped right through Eveland if they had been rested.

The numbers tell me his control looks shot to hell. He still hasn't been extremely hittable, but you can't win when 50% of your pitches are balls.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Eveland sent to the bullpen or down to AAA to work on this problem if it persists, particularly once Joey Devine and Santiago Casilla come off the DL. Chad Gaudin would be a more than worthy replacement in the rotation.

Fortunately, I don't.

Turns out the Yankees are favored in this game. I guess because Wang is pitching. And they're the Yankees. Seems like a good opportunity. If you live in Vegas.

The Yankees played in near hundred-degree heat yesterday afternoon, then flew to Oakland to face a team tonight that sat around the pool yesterday. Whatever the Vegas odds are, I'd put my money on Eveland in this game.

I was close, but someone else got him for $1 (I was at $1 max bid at that point!). I think I wound up w/TB's Hammel instead, so hopefully there's a silver lining!

Thought I could grab him easily in my draft, but everyone knew about him and he went to around 6. Damn internet!

I picked him up for $1 in my money league. They're raving about him in Oakland thus far, and while he won't be this good all year, he should be solid.
