Came up empty today against the Rays. The innings caught up to him.

I knew I should have waited until our trade deadline (next Monday) before dealing a hitter for a pitcher!

Traded Trumbo for him two weeks ago.

Getting a breather with a "dead arm" after 124 IP.

It really is such a much different game today.

I don't know... a total of 95 pitches?

In any case, after the game (which I just watched in condensed form) he comes up with a beaut: "It's fun. We're all in this as a team, pulling on the same rope. Pushng each other too."

Ventura had him pitching into the eighth last night with a 19-0 lead?? Isn't this the same Chris Sale that went for an MRI six weeks back and was being moved to the bullpen to give his elbow a break?

No one is more full of total horse manure than the pitching mechanics people. Randy Johnson threw across his body and Sale is probably more reminiscent of him than any pitcher I've seen since. The video geniuses would have made him a middle reliever or, worse, "fixed" him.

I was able to keep both Sale and Neftali Feliz and figured both would be in the rotation. Not guaranteed mind you, but believed baseball folks would recognize their talents would be so much more effective as starters. I was thrilled to hear they would be in the rotation after spring training. I almost got in the car and drove to Chicago to speak in person with their brain trust after I heard they were thinking of putting Sale back in the bullpen. Unfortunately for Feliz, that's where he is likely to be after he returns. I'm no pitching coach, but I like Feliz'z delivery much more than Sale's across the body style, but you got to love the results. Chamberalin was another young pitcher I was able to buy early with no real return. And yes, somebody must have reminded CWS of the Joba Rules and how that all turned out.

Perhaps the Pale Hose need to see the Joba Chamberlain chapter of the manual, which reads, in whole, "Leave him the hell alone and let him pitch."

As Incredibly interested Sale saga person, was back to no5 knowing whether to laugh or cry..On day after CBS reports Sox will monitor Sale, maybe sit him before the break, Sale, presumably with Sox acquiescence, pitches complete game.
