Paddack vs Kershaw at Dodger Stadium tonight ... I'm on board the hype train :-)

After his great first start, Paddack amazingly went for $19 in our auction.

Even more amazingly ... that's looking like a bargain so far!

It wasn't a start but the old lefthander Joe Nuxhall  went out, pitched an inning for Cincy then finished his 10th grade English homework in the dugout.

Don’t forget about David Clyde, he went straight from the senior prom to the Texas Rangers. The results were not stellar.

So Padres, Braves, and Marlins all decide to go with super young rotations rather than sign Keuchel for one of those slots. I get the Marlins doing it, but hard to believe that it's the right move for the Braves and Padres. It helps to have a solid guy who is going to give you a chance to win.

Mike Leake went straight from Arizona St. to the Reds starting rotation.

How often do we witness a starter making their debut who hasn't pitched above A-ball?

Steve Nebraska did it in the World Series, if I recall.

Can you bring Nick Margevicius up from the depths, Alex? The Padres are giving him a start on Saturday. How often do we witness a starter making their debut who hasn't pitched above A-ball?

Went for $19 in one of my NL only leagues this weekend. $19 and hasn't even pitched an inning in the majors. What were those two bidders thinking?

Looks like $9 - $10 will be the price this in this weekend's drafts.
