One doesn't need a WAR analysis to recognize his value, but: 8.0 WAR over the previous 5 seasons, for less than $5 million total.  They're going to miss him.

And what kind of free agent payday will he get, at his age, coming back from TJS?  It's worthy of a labor dispute.

Headed for TJS.

In the one or the other question it turns out it's both. With Rogers traded to the NL before the season started I can't keep him anymore, so I now will keep both Barlow and Green. Sigh.

End game in CBS AL was crazy, given how much money was spent early.  At that point $2 (or another pitcher slot) closed out a lot of teams.

I agree with you, Eugene, and I've raised him a buck in tomorrow's update. But only a buck, because I'm trying to pare my bids down.

Green went for $3 in LABR (the first expert league to draft), then $1 in CBS, then $7 in Tout. $6 might not be enough if you really, really want him. Factoring in inflation, you might want to raise the bid to $9.

Having said all that, I'd keep Joe Barlow at $4, if I could only keep one. I can't imagine he'd go that cheap in the auction and there's a good chance you'll still get Chad Green back cheap.

The highest money earning MR in the AL across multiple seasons, yet everyone hedges when spending on him.  I am deciding whether to keep him for $7 or Joe Barlow for $4. I already have two other savers. Green seems so much better at pitching.
