60+ PAs in, and he's striking out a bunch ... and making weak contact with a low launch angle.  McMahon is looking pretty safe so far.

I'd say this really makes the clock start ticking for McMahon ... whose .700 OPS (.571 away from Coors!) is either going to get him sent down, or relegated to a utility role, if Rodgers proves capable at the MLB level.

Getting the call.  Seems similar to Austin Riley; an injury may have prompted it (Trevor Story here, Inciarte for Riley), but the presumed expectation is the strong possibility of sticking.

The Rockies have to sort out what they are doing with McMahon, and I don't think they've figured it out. Until that situation is resolved, Rodgers is probably better off playing full-time at Albuquerque. The kid is definitely making a push for a promotion. Two-homer day yesterday.

Hampson is being sent down, to be replaced by Valaika.  I am a bit surprised he is not being replaced by Brendan, who is mashing at AAA; and we are past any key service time dates.

Brendan Rodgers, SS, Rockies. One day after homering in both games of a double header, Rodgers had a four-RBI day for Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday. Rodgers had a two-run single to center in the third inning, followed by a two-run double to right-center field in the fifth inning. The Rockies’ top prospect is an offensive force who can move around on the infield in order to enhance his value.

Two touts think he'll play this year

Does the reserve list in Tout expand beyond the initial four, Peter?.
