Brandon Lowe (2B) TB - Aug. 17

Lowe went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Monday's 9-2 win over the Orioles.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: He took Matt Harvey deep in the fifth inning and then got to Paul Fry in the sixth. Lowe continues to enjoy a big August, slashing .291/.344/.673 through 14 games with six of his 28 homers on the season as well as 12 runs and 16 RBI.

His two-run double in the first inning looked to all the world, starting with Lowe, like a three-run homer.

If you can suffer the ad...

The ball simply runs out of gas and lands at the bottom of the fence.

According to Robert Arthur at BP, the baseball is three paper clips lighter and doesn't have the same carry.

Maybe that's why batting averages are so low? Pitches that leave the hand at 98 mph are traveling at 96, as opposed to the usual 97, when they cross the plate.

On the other hand, there have been numerous tape-measure wallops so far.

There's baseball chaos.

And there's baseball chaos.

I sure hope you're right, because we're keeping him at $10, off our 2019 auction.

After putting his magnifying glass on this player, Rotoman concludes, "a full season of Lowe should be an elevating thing." In case I didn't listen, the Statcast percentiles tell me I've got to raise my bid.
