The consensus seems to be that the Rays fleeced the Mariners, unless Boog Jr. turns into a useful piece.

Not a bad projection, but the surprising steals and his boost in batting average messed up his price. He only cost $7 last year. How did I not end up owning him?

Ackley started in center field last night, Seth Smith started in left, and Miller DHed. From the AP game notes: "Brad Miller, who started 25 games at shortstop until injured Chris Taylor came off the DL, is transitioning to left field. McClendon, who played five positions in his eight-year career, said the biggest adjustment will be getting enough carry and accuracy on his arm."

I'm updating projections right now, though I might say fixing the dopey ones is a better way to say it. Came across this Brad Miller situation yesterday and cogitated hard on it. I wouldn't change a thing, but would surely prefer to beat you to the $6 if I can.

In the end his season wasn't the total disaster it was for most of the season. Raise your hand if you dropped him before September.

Hand raised.

If he wins the job in spring training, I'll take another chance on him, but nothing like the chance that Peter seems willing to take.

Don't lower your bid, Peter. Please.
