I'd eat glass before I went double digits on him, but our team has had bad experiences with him.  Objectively, no more than $5, and be ready to cut and run.

Dead cat indeed.  Six of the HR came after Aug 15; without the final flurry in the last 90 days he was pretty similar to 2017.  No way I'd pay more than $5 for Gordon.  I might quit at $3.

I'm with Eugene on the deadcat bounce. And remember that in 2019 at age 35, Gordon is unlikely to come close to matching his dozen SBs. This is the rare player where averaging his earnings over the last 3 years ($9 in 4x4 and $10 in 5x5) gets you to the right number.

$14 was a deadcat bounce.  I'd go lower.  $8 or less.

I'm working on Big Prices for the Guide. Today I have Alex Gordon with a price of $11. What do you think?

And God bless his owner.  I couldn't have taken another year.

According to Alex's numbers, he has already earned $4 in 4 x4. Assuming he earns $10-$12 for the season, he would have made some team a $10 profit, which is not be sneezed at in the end game.

We kept him LAST year on a fairly high price, locking a second year of substantial losses.  We had to throw him back this year, with a topper, and wouldn't have taken him back for a buck (would have been $2 for us, of course), and that's what he went for.  Just as glad; get out.
