And the Nats sent him to the minors???  Whaaaat?  Same with Milwaukee and Estuery Ruiz?  Service time manipulation?  Why grab a guy like Abrams and send him down?

And yes, still no stats yet.

I added his BIS ID so stats should appear tomorrow.

We still don't have a BIS ID for CJ, hence aren't getting his stats.

Needs stats here ...

And I'll add this caution ... he may be "fast" ... but Padres' fans haven't really seen it yet ... ie. it doesn't look like he's yet a "good baserunner" ... so far, he's the rare case of 80-speed not yielding SBs :-(

CJ Abrams, SS, Padres: Abrams went 2-for-3 and hit the decisive three-run home run in the Padres' 6-5 win over the Rockies. Abrams made a sensational diving stop at shortstop early in the game and launched his clutch home run in the eighth inning when he sent a hanging breaking ball 427 feet into the right field seats at Coors Field. Abrams is now batting .291 since his return to the majors and showing the skills that made him such a highly-touted prospect.

CJ Abrams (SS) SD - Jun. 20
https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=16042

Abrams was recalled by the Padres on Monday.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Abrams joined the Opening Day roster straight from Double-A this season but looked overmatched. He was demoted a little over a month into the season after struggling to a .182/.270/.273 line in 20 games. He's fared far better in his first taste of Triple-A action, hitting .314/.365/.507 in 30 games for Triple-A El Paso. Depending on the severity of Manny Machado's ankle sprain, Abrams could be in line to start regularly going forward, with Ha-Seong Kim sliding to cover third base, leaving Abrams as the primary option at shortstop.
