I did see him play for the Reds in 2006, and he was on my sleeper list last year until he got hurt. I put up a bid in case he makes the opening day roster, but right now the A's OF is too unsettled for me to be very confident that Denorfia will be starting. (They've been playing Carlos Gonzalez in center in each of the first two games -- Denorfia started there on Thursday but didn't even play yesterday.) Once we actually get some pre-season games on TV here, it'll be interesting to see how he looks. He is coming off TJ surgery . . .

I don't know what I have a harder time believing: Travis Buck as the A's starting center fielder or this guy starting and Dan Johnson on the bench or possibly in the minors. I know some of the statheads like this guy, but even if he is starting, I can't see going past $5 or $6 for what I suspect is going to be a re-run of the Mark Kotsay show during some of its more poorly written episodes. |

I followed your advice as exactly as I could. Has anyone seen him play? |

Now on the A's, and has a good shot to be their opening day CF.
Needs a bid. Does not translate into a power hitter at the major league level, but did hit 21 HR's in 2005 between, AA, AAA and the Reds. Good average hitter in the minors with a little speed. He appears to be healthy so I would say $5 - $7 if he is the starting CF. |
